Fizzie is the singing voice of reason for Redd's chaotic style. She knows what she's doing and loves to help.
How It All Came About
It started late at night, watching the Bob Ross channel. The thing about Bob Ross is he just looks like he’s making a mess — stabbing the brush in, scraping weird shapes — and then suddenly, impossibly, there’s a finished painting. Perfect. Out of nowhere.
That moment got stuck in my head. What if a puppet did that? What if it was all chaos and wrong and ridiculous, and then at the very last second — just like Bob — it worked?
That was the idea. We couldn’t let it go. So we made the show.
How It Is Going Now
Episode 1 of Learn to Paint Good is very nearly done. Episodes 2 and 3 are deep in production — animated segments are being built, re-shoots are happening, and it turns out making a short-form puppet comedy from scratch takes approximately three times longer than you think and is worth every minute of it.
The plan is to release all three episodes on YouTube once they’re close to the finish line together, so the rollout can actually be a rollout. No date locked in yet — but it’s coming, and it’s going to be worth the wait.
